Virginia schoolteacher charged with allegedly injuring schoolgirl while forcing her to perform Islamic Hand Sign

October 18,2012

Tara Harris Charged With Assault After Stephanie Bennett Says Daughter Cut Hand in ‘Islami Hand Sign’ Drill | TheBlaze.com

http://www.theblaze.com/stories/virginia-teacher-charged-with-assault-girls-hand-cut-in-forced-islamic-hand-sign-drill/

RRD: Today The Blaze,( Glenn Beck’s publication) reported that Tara Harris ,a schoolteacher at the Butts Road Intermediate School in Chesapeake Virginia, was charged with simple assault for causing a student to cut her hand while forcing the student to perform a Muslim Hand gesture. According to the Blaze,Stephanie Bennett, the mother of the ten year old girl told them that:

…”Harris has a disturbing trend of “indoctrinating
students with Islamic teachings.” She also said the teacher openly campaigns for President Barack Obama in the classroom and that:

…“The teacher was going over Islamic hand signs with the children — she stayed on this issue for two days straight during their reading and math class,” she said.”…

RRD: According to Bennett when her daughter–who has a learning disability–was unable to perform the hand sign correctly after two days, Harris:

… “went over and yanked her hand out of her desk and my daughter’s hand got hung up on the metal wire on her file folder and the skin got caught on it” ….

…..“The other children saw my daughter’s hand dripping with blood after the teacher had gotten so mad that she went to twist my daughter’s hand into an Islamic sign.”…

Bennett also told The Blaze that Harris prays to Allah five times a day & seeks to persuade students that Islam is superior to other religions. Bennett claims that other parents share her concerns, and  according to The Blaze :

…”One of those parents, Nita Redditt, told TheBlaze that her young son confirmed Bennett’s story. The boy said he was “scared” to go back to school the next day after she found out, she added. “I think he was intimidated,” Redditt said. “I couldn’t believe what was going on in the classroom in regards to this teacher praying to Allah and having them pray with her.”…

Bennett also complained that she was not informed that another parent had complained to school officials about :

…”Harris campaigning for Obama in the classroom and bashing Republican GOP nominee Mitt Romney.”…

The Virginian Pilot partially confirmed the story:

…”Police Spokeswoman Kelly O’Sullivan confirmed that Tara Harris has been charged for an Oct. 2 incident at the school. She would not say, however, what happened to warrant the charges. O’Sullivan did say an investigator looked into the matter.”

[Stephanie Bennett,the mother]

…”Reached by The Virginian-Pilot, she said she wanted to speak with a lawyer before doing other interviews. She did say she thought the story would “go global.”…

Iranian Mullahs incite mobs against U.S. & Israel over “Innocence of Muslims”

Iranian Mullahs incite mobs against U.S. & Israel over “Innocence of Muslims” ….”Some senior ayatollahs welcomed the attack on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi and warned that the U.S. should expect further harsh reactions from the Muslims.[5] The Global Ahl-e Al-Bayt Foundation, which is directly subordinate to the office of Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, urged Muslims worldwide, and especially the Shi’ites, “to demonstrate and protest against this offensive move [of making the film], and do everything they can to ban it, in order to prevent the continuation of these satanic actions.” [6] On September 13, senior ayatollah Mohammad Ali Alavi Gorgani exhorted the Shi’ites worldwide to “express their outrage to the people of the world” and that Muslims should “react to this satanic move… behind which stands global Zionism.”[7] Student Basij representative Ali Hassan Zadeh called on Muslims to remove the cancerous growth – Israel – from the Middle East.[8] Kazem Tabatabai, a Friday prayer leader from the city of Zabol, said: “The Muslims must no longer keep silent. They must launch all-out jihad to eliminate the arrogance [the West headed by the U.S.].”[9] Assembly of Experts member Ayatollah Abbas Ka’abi said: “The entire Muslim nation must join forces with the zealous Libyan people against the film that insults Islam and the Prophet.” [10] Ayatollah Nouri Hamedani said: “The U.S. must expect [even] harsher measures.”[11] Iranian Vice President Mohammad-Reza Rahimi said that the Iranian government would search for the producer of the anti-Muhammad YouTube film and would place him under surveillance.[12] Two prominent regime mouthpieces, Kayhan and Fars, stressed that the targeting of U.S. diplomats in the Middle East would now become a trend.[13] A September 15, 2012 Fars analysis said that the killing of the U.S. ambassador to Libya will be “the opening shot for the killing of U.S. ambassadors in the region.” It also warned Arab leaders not to suppress the masses’ rage against the U.S., because doing so could bring down their regimes: “The Arab leaders… of the post -Mubarak, post -Qadhafi and post -Ali ‘Abdallah Saleh [era]… must realize that the revolutions do not depend on them, but that they depend on the revolutions. If they stray from the path [of the revolutions], they will undoubtedly be deposed. This time, the insults to Islam came up against the dam of the Islamic awakening. The offending country [i.e. the U.S.] can no longer insult [Islam] and expect that its ambassadors in the Islamic countries will remain safe. The Islamic awakening has significantly increased the cost of insulting the sanctity of Islam. It is not only [the YouTube film’s purported director] Sam Bacile who should go into hiding; now the offending country’s ambassadors in the Islamic countries will [also] feel unsafe, even though the Egyptian and Yemeni police fired on the protestors… [The killing of the U.S. ambassador] is a phenomenon that possibly could continue – and even if it does not continue with the same determination, it may make the U.S. diplomats feel constantly unsafe.” Fars also warned the leaders of Arab countries where revolutions have recently taken place that “if they want to grow close to the West and sacrifice Islam in favor of liberal democracy, they will face their peoples’ demands, and they should not expect that to end well.” It added that Egyptian President Muhammad Mursi’s September 12 speech condemning the film but banning attacks on the U.S. Embassy in Cairo pleased both Islamist and Western ears, and reflected his understanding that “anti-Western sentiment now prevails in his country.”….

Hena Akhter,14yr old Bangladeshi girl murdered by Imam for ”adultery” which might have been rape #no2sharia #womensrights #tcot

Only 14, Bangladeshi girl charged with adultery was lashed to death – CNN.com

http://www.cnn.com/2011/WORLD/asiapcf/03/29/bangladesh.lashing.death/index.html?on.cnn=1

….”Hena Akhter’s last words to her mother proclaimed her innocence. But it was too late to save the 14-year-old girl.

Her fellow villagers in Bangladesh’s Shariatpur district had already passed harsh judgment on her. Guilty, they said, of having an affair with a married man. The imam from the local mosque ordered the fatwa, or religious ruling, and the punishment: 101 lashes delivered swiftly, deliberately in public.

Hena dropped after 70.”…

Background:

….”Many months later on a winter night, as Hena’s sister Alya told it, Hena was walking from her room to an outdoor toilet when Mahbub Khan gagged her with cloth, forced her behind nearby shrubbery and beat and raped her.

Hena struggled to escape, Alya told CNN. Mahbub Khan’s wife heard Hena’s muffled screams and when she found Hena with her husband, she dragged the teenage girl back to her hut, beat her and trampled her on the floor.

The next day, the village elders met to discuss the case at Mahbub Khan’s house, Alya said. The imam pronounced his fatwa. Khan and Hena were found guilty of an illicit relationship. Her punishment under sharia or Islamic law was 101 lashes; his 201.

Mahbub Khan managed to escape after the first few lashes.”…

RRD:In a separate,wholly unrelated story,one of Obama’s advisors on Islam said:

“The majority of women around the world associate gender justice, or justice for women, with sharia compliance”.

Obama adviser says Sharia Law is misunderstood – Telegraph

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/barackobama/6274387/Obama-adviser-says-Sharia-Law-is-misunderstood.html

”Miss Mogahed appeared alongside Hizb ut Tahrir’s national women’s officer, Nazreen Nawaz.

During the 45-minute discussion, on the Islam Channel programme Muslimah Dilemma earlier this week, the two members of the group made repeated attacks on secular “man -made law” and the West’s “lethal cocktail of liberty and capitalism”.

They called for Sharia Law to be “the source of legislation” and said that women should not be “permitted to hold a position of leadership in government”.

Miss Mogahed made no challenge to these demands and said that “promiscuity” and the “breakdown of traditional values” were what Muslims admired least about the West.

She said: “I think the reason so many women support Sharia is because they have a very different understanding of sharia than the common perception in Western media.

“The majority of women around the world associate gender justice, or justice for women, with sharia compliance.

“The portrayal of Sharia has been oversimplified in many cases.”

Sharia in its broadest sense is a religious code for living, which decrees such matters as fasting and dressing modestly. However, it has also been interpreted as requiring the separation of men and women.

It also includes the controversial “Hadd offences”, crimes with specific penalties set by the Koran and the sayings of the prophet Mohammed. These include death by stoning for adultery and homosexuality and the removal of a hand for theft.

Miss Mogahed admitted that even many Muslims associated Sharia with “maximum criminal punishments” and “laws that… to many people seem unequal to women,” but added: “Part of the reason that there is this perception of Sharia is because Sharia is not well understood and Islam as a faith is not well understood”

Yemenite herbalist Sharifa Amr beheaded for ”sorcery”[WARNING GRAPHIC pic of head]

Yemen: Sharia Supporters Behead ‘Sorceress’ :: Raymond Ibrahim

http://www.raymondibrahim.com/2012/04/yemen-sharia-supporters-behead-sorceress

”According to the Arabic website Al Shorfa, an al-Qaeda affiliated group in Yemen, called Ansar al-Sharia (or the “Supporters of Sharia Law”) beheaded a woman on April 11 for “practicing magic and sorcery.” Members of the group broke into the home of Sharifa Amr—a local healer who used natural herbs to treat sick people—”beheaded her, and then hung her severed head in front of the home of another popular healer in the region, as a warning that he might share her fate.”

The remainder of the report notes how several Yemeni officials condemned the attack—not because it is absurd to murder herbalists -deemed -sorcerers, but because the “Supporters of Sharia” ironically contradicted Sharia, at least somewhat.

According to Sheik Jabri Ibrahim, general director of Yemen’s Ministry of Endowments and Guidance, punishing “sorcerers and magicians” can only be performed after “first summoning the magicians to a council with the ulema [Sharia scholars], who are obligated to advise and persuade him, showing him evidence from Sharia that Islam forbids the practice of sorcery and magic.”

Egypt’s women urge MPs not to pass early marriage, sex-after-death laws: report

http://english.alarabiya.net/articles/2012/04/25/210198.html

RRD:Previously I warned that there was a very real risk that Islamists could come to power in Egypt.(fn1).
Now the Egyptian Government is seriously considering legislation that would lower the age of marriage to 14,curtail a woman’s right to divorce & her right to get a education and–bizarrely even for Islamists–permit a husband to perform sex acts upon his wife’s corpse.

Local Women’s Rights groups are protesting and it remains to be seen whether this insanity will become law.

NEWS ALERT: Family Fears Iranian Pastor Dying Behind Bars

http://www.bosnewslife.com/21524-news-alert-family-fears-iranian-pastor-dying-behind-bars

…”Family members of jailed Iranian Pastor Behnam Irani fear he may die behind bars amid mounting concerns about his rapidly deteriorating health and prison mistreatment, an official assisting him with advocacy told BosNewsLife Wednesday, April 25.

Irani, who suffers of several ailments including an intestinal disorder, is “frequently beaten by prisoners under the watchful eye of prison officials,” said Jason DeMars of advocacy group Present Truth Ministry.

“Sources close to the family are concerned that he will die before the end of his five-year prison sentence,” DeMars explained. Besides known health issues, he is also “having trouble with his eyesight and his foot,” he added, suggesting the situation may be even more serious than previously thought.

Irani, who is in his 40s and married with two children, has been behind bars in a prison of Karaj city where he led a congregation of the Church of Iran house church movement.

He has been held on charges of “crimes against the Islamic state” apparently linked to his involvement in the unauthorized house church”…..
